These ceramic coasters are minimal and modern, and if functional art is your thing then these might be what you're looking for. The 4" hexagons have gold edges and a gorgeous resin top coat. Moody black ink glimmers with lots of gold details. Multiple layers of resin with gold lines in between give a feeling of depth.

These coasters may be more suited to cold drinks such as a nice glass of wine. They're heat resitant up to 50°C or 120°F, so are also perfectly fine for a warm mug.
 
If you place a really hot cup on it (e.g. straight out of the microwave), it may leave a mark on the resin. This is because it will soften when warmed up, and then the weight of thehot mug can leave an imprint. So please keep that in mind before making a purchase!
